During the print process ink is transferred from the plate to the blanket of the press and then to the paper. Your artwork is made up of a series of dots, which get slightly larger during printing because of the mechanical process of transferring ink. To compensate for this, we recommend setting a shadow dot of 85-90% and a highlight dot of 5-10%. Use the settings in your artwork or graphics software to do this.
At Palladian we understand that there may be times when you have problems in creating artwork. If you want to talk to a specialist, give us a call.
