Palladian means business with Colchester expansion

At a time when much of the print industry is facing reduced profit margins and job losses, Palladian Press is delighted to buck the trend by unveiling a new 6,000 square foot production/warehouse facility at the end of June.

Located immediately next to Palladian's existing buildings in Chandlers Row, Colchester, the new block will not only increase the company's floor space by a full 50%, but will also contain a state-of-the-art picking and packing logistics centre, allowing the company to compile and deliver orders in record time and to guarantee first-class stockholding and distribution services to customers who require them.

The additional area will also allow Palladian to undertake major renovation work to its existing facilities, and plans are in place to install double glazing, fully-accessible toilet blocks, and brand-new seminar and training rooms for customers to learn more about the design and printing process. All three buildings will be refitted in a pleasing and contemporary style.

Palladian Press Managing Director, Paul Douglas, sees the expansion as the logical next step for his customer-focused business: "Palladian is winning through in difficult times because we have never wavered from our policy of offering clients the highest quality printing and the best possible customer service. The new facility is just one of many ongoing investments we have made to ensure we have the skills, equipment and facilities to continue exceeding our clients' expectations and carry on increasing our market share."

The company's staff are also excited by the opportunities offered by the additional floor space and, although they have so far failed to convince Paul to install an Olympic-sized swimming pool in the new warehouse, he's coming round to the idea of using some of the space for lunchtime table tennis tournaments. "Of course," Paul adds, "customers would be welcome to drop by for a game at any time of the day or night."
