Palladian Press is proud to announce that a brand-new quarterly magazine, Colchester Connected, was launched at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Friday 23rd January.
The brainchild of our Sales & Marketing Director Steve Green, and designed in Palladian's own graphic design studio, Colchester Connected is written for the town's vibrant business community and all those who are associated with it. The publication is also designed to inspire, and it devotes double-page features to companies that range from a legal practice and an international shipping firm to a recruitment agency and a powder coating specialist. The two things that unite every single business are a passion for innovation and a talent for using the present economic dip to prepare for the good times.
The magazine also throws the spotlight on commercially vital groups, including Colchester Institute, the Federation of Small Businesses and the Essex Chambers of Commerce. Colchester Connected plans to give a voice to other organisations of this kind in future issues.
The launch itself was a major success, with over 350 people enjoying breakfast at Weston Homes Community Stadium and taking part in an event that was compèred by Heart FM's Jonathan Hemmings and featured CUFC Chief Executive Steve Bradshaw, professional speaker Bill Pirie, and TV magician Michael J. Fitch. We were delighted to be joined by local MPs Bernard Jenkin and Bob Russell. You can see some of the highlights of the morning, along with many of our guests, by visiting our online photo gallery.
Publishing Director Linda Green said: "We are thrilled that Colchester Connected has been so warmly received, and we are glad that it has been recognised as a publication that works with local companies for the benefit of the local business community. We have had a great deal of interest from companies that wish to be featured in issue two, and look forward to helping new contributors get connected."
Palladian Press Managing Director Paul Douglas added: "We thought long and hard about publishing a new magazine in the present economic climate, but were convinced that we could work with local businesses to create a publication with both sparkle and practical value. We'd particularly like to thank all those who gave their time at little or no cost, because it's their belief in the first issue that this publication will be popular, valued and commercially successful."
