The Blues score unbroken success in their Palladian shirts

Although we like to think that Palladian Press sponsorship brings footballers good luck, there's no denying that the Stanway Rovers U12 Blues is a seriously talented squad.

This season, the team has chalked up an unbroken series of wins, has got through two rounds of the Essex County Cup and has won a place in round two of the Colchester and District Youth League Cup.

Some of this season's wins have been more than impressive. The Blues kicked off with a 9-1 home win against Colchester Villa and, last weekend, triumphed in a 13-1 rout of Hambro Colts FC. Such success is becoming the hallmark of a team that topped the U11 league last year, adding the winners' trophy to the ones it scooped at Under 8, 9 and 10 levels.

That's not to say the team is getting complacent, and they are training as hard as ever. Head Coach Ian Gerry is delighted with the progress the squad has made in the weeks it has been sporting Palladian's logo on its kit: "The season has begun really well, but it's very early in football terms. We've still got a long, long way to go, but it's a great start nonetheless."

Palladian Press Managing Director Paul Douglas is equally thrilled by the U12's progress. "The whole team at Palladian is following the Blues with great excitement. We're very proud that the squad is achieving such impressive victories with the help of our sponsorship. We're looking forward to the rest of the season, and it's a privilege to see their combination of hard work and talent reaping such richly deserved rewards."
