- BASIS WEIGHT - the weight of paper in grams per square metre (gsm).
- BANNER – a top header spanning the entire width, or most of the width, of a page.
- BINDING – the process of fixing sheets of paper together.
- BITMAP - a grid of pixels or printed dots generated by the computer to represent type and images.
- BOLD - a characteristic of type that uses thick lines to make it stand out.
- BOND - a grade of paper often used in business correspondence.
- BLEED - the part of a printed image which extends outside the area to which the finished sheet will be cut.
- BOARD – thick paper or card, usually from around 200gsm upwards.
- BULK - the substance and thickness of paper.
